Dark Nights & Aurora Borealis Lights
A lot of guests are surprised at how dark it gets at night when they come to stay in our holiday cottages, with no street lights and very few houses around the beautiful Shropshire sky is a wonderful sight on a clear night with minimal light pollution, the night sky becomes a mesmerizing canvas of stars, planets, and celestial phenomena.
Just recently we were treated to an amazing show of the Northern Lights with all their colour & wonder, and something
I never expected to see in the Sambrook sky. A wonderful sight for those who managed to stay up long enough to see the show.
After a stressful day there is nothing more relaxing than going out into the garden on a dark clear night and just looking up, sometime with a glass of whine and sometimes with a hot chocolate. It offers a break from the distractions of modern life and a chance to appreciate the beauty of the universe.
Experiencing a truly dark sky allows for a deeper connection with the natural world. Listening to the sounds of nocturnal wildlife under a blanket of stars can evoke a sense of wonder and tranquillity, so when you next come to stay in one of our holiday cottages why not switch off all the lights go outside, look up and immerse yourself in the darkness of the nights sky.
